CG depends on the arrangement of segments.
Demster Method: Each body segment has its own CG and collectively it is
possible to calculate total body CG.
Base of Support is the area between an object's contact surfaces with a resistive surface (supporting surface) that counters the object's CG to move closer toward the center of the earth's mass.
A person's stability is 'direction specific'. That is a person may resist falling from one direction but be vulnerable to falling from a different direction.
A person will maintain balance as long as the CG remains within the person's base of support.
Activities that require great mobility require the performer to project and manipulate their CG outside of their base of support.

The closer the CG is to the supporting surface the better the object's balance.
